Moor Builds ("we", "us") is a web design studio trading in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Plain English, no games.
Who is responsible for your data
Moor Builds is the data controller. You can reach us at any time at hello@moorbuilds.co.uk.
What we collect
- Contact form details — your name, business name, email/phone, your current website (if any), the plan you're interested in, and your message.
- Project content — text, photos and files you send us so we can build your website.
- Emails — our correspondence with you.
We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, who process your card on their own secure systems under their own privacy policy.
What we use it for
- Replying to your enquiry and quoting for work.
- Building, delivering and supporting your website.
- Sending payment links, receipts-related communication, and project updates.
Our lawful basis is performing a contract (or taking steps before one) and our legitimate interest in running the studio. We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for marketing. Ever.
Who processes it
- Web3Forms — delivers our contact form to our inbox.
- Zoho Mail — hosts our email.
- Stripe — processes payments.
Each acts as a processor or independent controller under their own privacy terms.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. What you do here is your business, not ours.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details: up to 12 months if you don't become a client. Client project records: up to 6 years, for tax and accounting rules. Ask us to delete sooner and we will, unless the law says we can't.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and you can object to how we use it. Email hello@moorbuilds.co.uk and we'll sort it within 30 days. If you're unhappy, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
